What is Landings?
Landings is a Catholic reconciliation programme for those who have been away from the Church, and are seeking a safe space to reconnect and renew
The History of Landings
Founded by the Paulist Fathers in the United States during the 1980s, Landings is a dedicated outreach programme for Catholic reconciliation. It was created to meet a significant pastoral need: many Catholics who feel distant, hurt, or disconnected from the Church are seeking a safe and welcoming path back home.
Since its inception, Landings has evolved into a global movement, establishing a presence in multiple dioceses around the world. In 2018, the programme was introduced in Malaysia, where it continues to thrive in numerous parishes across both East and West Malaysia.

Landings in Malaysia
Landings Malaysia operates in collaboration with local parishes and under the pastoral guidance of the Church, ensuring that the programme remains faithful, supportive, and pastorally grounded.
What began in a single community in Petaling Jaya has steadily grown into a programme now offered in numerous parishes across both East and West Malaysia, creating safe and supportive spaces for people to reconnect with their faith at their own pace.
Landings has been thoughtfully adapted to unique rhythms of Malaysian culture — embracing our diversity, languages, and strong sense of community — so that every participant feels at home, heard, and accompanied on their journey.
